As some of you know I have started my own forum community http://unlimiteddj.proboards33.com I have Dessa's consent help and encouragement so don't get Mani for me please.   My reasons for creating my own site are mainly because i just wanted to have some place where I can say what I wanna say, when I wanna say it. I just couldn't do that on TVA. Don't get me wrong, I love TVA. but I just didn't have all the freedom i wanted. So the natural conclusion, start my own. Do it my way. I wanted a not so serious atmospere. A place that had it's own unique charm. A place that was not so serious. Just like me. I'm a happy go lucky person, not much in this world makes me mad.

Well, I created the place with Dessa's help. thankyou baby  It has serious and not so serious categories. Next I started to invite people. This is where the problem began. I invited a bunch of knuckle heads. The only thing they wanted to post about was mess. I had topics everywhere from sports,movies,love,dating,abortion yet all those boards went ignored. Hell I even started posting on these subjects, but I guess I was just talking to myself. One person even had the audacity to assume that I created the site, just so I could talk about her because I made one lil post about her on the rant and rave board. Plus I didn't even say her name, I just generalised. But thats a whole nother journal entry all together.

I guess i'm just expecting too much too soon, after all, the site has only been up for 2 days, I can't expect it to be all that exciting so soon. Plus side, I already have 30 members, donside, no one is posting. I think i may have to send out a mass e-mail, telling everyone how to pos and start new threads. I'm also looking for moderators. applications now being accepted. So stop on by and post PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Yes Ken you needed a place to just clown around. I didn't want TVA to turn into a circus...no offense...I wanted people to remain civil, because you may find out that not everyone will know how to treat others with respect and there's a line that shouldn't be crossed because negativity breeds negativity. TVA is focused in the poetry and the arts. Although we have other boards the place was initially created for people serious about sharing their poetry. I know and understand you're not a poet,(but you've written 3 good ones) so therefore you wanted a place that is more like a mini BP or something...and I feel you...keep doin it ken, things will take off, be patient. I will tell you it's hard work and without any rules there will be folks who don't know how to act. It's hard work enforcing rules and believe me without them your page will be wild to say the least and people will break the proboard rules. It will get to the point that people get so close to you that they take it personal when you have to enforce a rule. Goodluck with it all. I'm here, just like I created this journal, I'll help when I can but I do have my own page to run as well as a life.

Actually Dessa, things are going alot better. like the title of this journal entry "trial and error" I've made several corrections, and I am also very careful to not allow any proboard rules to be broken. Also, gee!! What makes yall think that I have something against TVA? I'm still defending my #1 poster title. I'm still an active member. It's just that I wanted something of my own. I just had too high expectations, Since I was a member of TVA from like day two, I can remember how empty it was in the beginning, So I can't expect my board to do all that much better.
